Idris, Nia and Leila will be interviewed (about their experience of saunas!) for a Welsh language children’s programme at Capel Salem, before and during Finnish school on the 15th of March.

They are being filmed for the third series of ‘Ne-wff-ion’ which is a series that introduces the concept of ‘News’ to children aged between 4 and 7 – stories about current issues relevant to the age group and the children will present news items from their local area. Here’s a link to some of the episodes for you to watch.

There is a possibility that the crew will film other participants of the school in the background of the shots.

See below the contributor contracts (one for the adults and one for the children who will be present on the day of filming) to complete and sign to get their permission to be filmed.

Jenni and Kaisa (and the film crew) will bring printed forms for you to sign on the day. Do let us know if you would rather not be in the (very brief) shots!

Suomi-koulun vuosikokous pidetään Capel Salemissa lauantaina, 15.6, klo 1.30! Toivottavasti pääsette mukaan! Esityslista on nähtävissä alla.

The Finnish School AGM takes place on the 15th June 2024 at 13:30, an hour before the lessons start. See you there!

Tervetuloa Cardiffin Suomi-koulun ja Walesin Suomi-piirin yhteiseen joulujuhlaan lauantaina 9.12. klo 13-15!

Pidämme perinteisen joulujuhlan Suomi-koulun tiloissa Capel Salemissa, Cardiffin Cantonissa, vastapäätä Chapter Arts Centre. Osoite: Market Road, Canton, Cardiff CF5 1QE.

Luvassa on puuhaa lapsille, yhteislaulua, arpajaiset, jouluruokaa ja yhdessäoloa.

Cardiff City pelaa samana iltapäivänä Leckwithin City stadionilla, joten kannattaa varata reilusti aikaa parkkipaikan löytämiseen ja ruuhkan välttämiseen. Koulun viereen mahtuu parkkiin muutama auto. Chapterin parkkipaikalle tai Harvey Streetin parkkipaikalta kävelee koululle minuutin. Julkisillakin pääsee kirkolle suhteellisen helposti!

Tervetuloa kaikki walesinsuomalaiset, Suomi-piirin seniorit sekä juniorit ja Suomen ystävät viettämään joulujuhlaa kanssamme! Tuo mukanasi joulumieltä, yhteiseen nyyttikestipöytään suolaista tarjottavaa, kolikoita arpajaisia varten tai halutessasi arpajaispalkinto. Tapaamme puolisen tuntia ennen juhlaa, puolen päivän jälkeen, järjestämään tilan juhlakuntoon. Otamme vastaa apua myös tilan siivoojille juhlan jälkeen!

The Finnish School and Finnish Circle Christmas party will take place on the 9th of December from 1 pm until 3 pm at the Finnish School in Canton. We welcome help organising the party and tidying up, donations for the raffle, and Christmas foods to be shared. Bring cash for the raffle, or feel free to transfer money directly to the Finnish school bank account.

There is a Cardiff City game on the same afternoon, so do come early to ensure you get parking.
