Toddler/baby group as well as the beginners’ group will have their sessions upstairs and Suomi-koulu for 3-8-year olds will be held downstairs in the church hall.
Lessons last from 10.30am until 12.30pm with a 15 minute break at around 11.30am. During the break you can, for a small donation, buy a cup of tea, coffee or juice and biscuits or cake. We also have Finnish sweets for sale.

The Finnish Saturday School was able to carry it activities thanks to a grant from the Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture and a start-up money from Finn-Guild. Tervetuloa Ystäväverkoston tapaamiseen Cardiffiin 29.9.2012
Ystäväverkoston syksyn toinen aluetapaaminen järjestetään Cardiffissa lauantaina 29.9.2012 klo 12.00-16.00.
Aloitamme iltapäivän tutustumalla Ystäväverkoston toimintaan ja sen periaatteisiin. Tapaamisen aikana saamme myös kuulla kaksi puheenvuoroa.
Ensimmäiseksi Soile Pietikäinen alustaa lasten kaksikielisyydestä ja sen haasteista. Voit itse vaikuttaa alustuksen sisältöön miettimällä seuraavia kysymyksiä: Millaisia kysymyksiä ja ongelmia kaksikielisyyden suhteen tulee esille Ystäväverkoston toiminnassa? Mikä itseänne askarruttaa? Mistä olette epävarmoja? Mitä haluaisitte tietää? Kysymyksiä saavat esittää kaikki osallistujat. Soilesta ja aiheesta saat lisätietoja Soilen blogista osoitteessa http://peda.net/veraja/kulkuri/maailmalla/soile tai googlaamalla ”kulkuri maailmalla soile”. The second year of the Finnish Saturday School in Cardiff will start on the 22nd September.
Our premises at the Bethel United Reformed Church are located opposite Ysgol Y Wern on Llangranog Road. The church has got parking for about 10 cars around the church and there is plenty of parking on the roads nearby. There is a bus stop on Templeton Avenue, five minutes’ walk from the church. Bus service numbers 27 and 28 from Cardiff city centre leave every 10 to 15 minutes.
If you would like to help with organising events, singing to the children or baking cakes, please do get in touch! We are currently looking for people to help out at the 95th Independence day celebrations and Christmas party. Any help is gratefully appreciated.
